Great for lactation cookies and smoothies

Posted by iHerb Customer on Jun 14, 2017 | Verified Purchase

I did not mind the bitter aftertaste. This brewer's yeast was great in my lactation cookies. I also added this to my lactation smoothies. And you can use this MEN5891 code to always get a 5% discount or 10% discount on iHerb house brand products. Enjoy, nursing mammas.

This yeast is a powder, not flake. The container ways "reduced bitterness" but it is the nastiest, most bitter stuff ever. I am feeding this to my dogs who don't seem to notice it's nastiness. I got this because of the price. I have bought NOW brand flake yeast in the past and been totally satisfied but this powder "reduced bitterness" version I will never purchase again.

Used to boost breast milk supply

Used these in my lactation muffins for sale, and this works wonders. The product could hardly be tasted in the product, unlike some other brewer yeast, and the quality of the product is not compromised. Many mothers who have ordered from me could still get a decent increment ranging from 2oz-3oz each pump session.

Easy to take and versatile

I've ordered this twice already and usually take a few teaspoons each day. Mixing it with Japanese mayonnaise (and sometimes a bit of milk to smooth it out), it tastes uncannily like Japanese 'mentaiko' (spiced cod roe).

Really like it

Adding a heaping teaspoon to each my salad, very like the taste, was ordered it many times
