Jasmine green tea is a cultural treasure of East Asia with a loyal following around the world today. Its enchanting aroma is captured through an intricate art of scenting that dates back more than 800 years. Fresh-picked jasmine blossoms are gathered on midsummer nights and brought inside where they are carefully layered upon rows of tea leaves. The process is repeated over several successive nights with fresh flowers to crate a deeply infused fragrance. Our base green tea is grown high in the forested mountains of western Hubei, providing for a sublime sweetness to complement floral jasmine.

Independently Owned since 1997, Rishi is the vanguard source of direct trade tea and botanicals. We are selectors, importers and makers.

Selector: We are a team devoted to traveling the most remote regions of the world to source and study tea and botanicals of rarefied quality and provenance. Our selection sets the standard.

Importer: We are a pioneer of the organic tea and botanicals which we import on a direct trade basis from artisan growers and specialist producers. Our global supply chain and enduring relationships are our core strengths.

Our Practice of Direct Trade is not just a romance story or marketing gimmick; it is the very foundation of our quality control program. Our travel and hands-on work with farmers allows us to verify where, when and how our organic teas are grown and to offer traceability on each lot back to the farm.
