Expiration Date:?September 2020Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Lapsang Souchong, also referred to as smoked tea, is one of the world's oldest and most distinctive black teas. The tea is grown in the Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian Province of China and is made by only a select number of estates. Once a very secretive process, Lapsang Souchong is prepared using the same manual techniques today that have been passed down from generation to generation.
After the tea is plucked, the leaves are withered over cypress or pine wood fires. The are later placed into barrels so that the smoky aroma intensifies. As a final step, the leaves are place into flat wicker baskets and positioned on bamboo trays over smoky pine fires, where they dry and absorb even more aroma. The finished tea leaves are thick and black and when steeped in hot water, product a rich tea with a unique, smoky taste.

The tea is great, I strongly disagree with the previous review. I am a big fan of Lapsang Souchong and have been buying it for years. I've tried many famous brands (for example Kusmi) along with unknown Chinese supplies, and can say that this one is of high quality. In no way aroma is bland or inexistent, vice versa, the remarkable 'salami' fragrance is intense, just the way it's meant to be. The color is deep amber and very pleasant. While Twinings is definitely not the best tea brand, they make good products, and if you are unlucky to have a variety of best tea brands available to you, then have no doubts and go for this one. I can add that it really matters where a pack of Twinings comes from (Polish is horrible, while British - surprise! - is the best), and iHerb's supply is very good.

I found it hard to buy this product and even harder to buy it at a fair price. This product, price and company are the best when looking for this product. I highly recommend.
Not This One

Do not like this at all but still use it. Use 3 bags and still tastes bland. Lapsan Souchang does not taste like this.
Not for me
