Made from completely natural, pitted, dried and chopped dates, these chewy little nuggets are wonderfully rich in sweet. They're great sprinkled on cereals and in baked goods. Lightly coated with oat flour to prevent clumping.

Bob's Red Mill is the most unique flour mill in the Northwest. We use century old stone grinding equipment to freshly mill whole grain products. Delight your family with whole grain goodness!

Suggested Use

Cornmeal Date Muffins

1/2 cup Bob's Red Mill Date Pieces

1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour

1 1/2 cups Cornmeal, Fine Grind

1/2 tsp Salt

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

1/4 cup Vegetable Oil

1/2 cup Milk

3 Tbsp Honey

2 large Eggs

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place twelve foil muffin liners into a muffin pan, set aside. Combine the chopped dates with whole wheat flour and out into a large mixing bowl. Add the cornmeal, salt, baking powder and stir until uniform. In another bowl, combine the oil, milk and honey and eggs. Stir with a fork until smooth. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir gently until all is moist. Divide the batter among the foil liners and bake for about 15 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Makes about 12 muffins.

Other Ingredients

Dates, oat flour (to prevent clumping).

Manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts, soy, wheat and milk.

Yum!

I use these to make my own trail mix. I ordered a 2nd bag already so I don't have to run out!

Thanks for your feedback!

The bag I got was not good.

Posted by iHerb Customer on Oct 25, 2016 | Verified Purchase

The bag I got was about half to two thirds tiny crumbs of dates covered in oat flour. The rest was date pieces like they look in picture. The crumbs are not really useful as a snack or for baking. I will try once more because I think I just got a bad bag, but it was quite disappointing.

Thanks for your feedback!

Date pieces without the seeds.

Easy to add to anything you like, without chopping or seeding.

Fantastic

I have a special recipe I use dates in and have not been able to find them locally, I was thrilled when I found them here......they have worked perfect in my recipe....will buy more.

Thanks for your feedback!

Would be good for cooking

These pieces are quite small and are individually dusted. They would be fine in cooking, but are not suited to grab for snacks for your lunchbox.
