Flaxseed was eaten by the early Greeks and Romans like nuts. You may eat the natural untreated seeds whole, ground into meal, or sprouted. Used in small amounts, they add a crunchy quality when making muffins, waffles, pancakes, granola, or cooked cereals. When ground, Flaxseed Meal can be added to breads, muffins, hot cooked cereals and smoothies, and is one of the most powerful natural cholesterol controllers.

Bob's Red Mill products labeled Gluten Free are batch tested in our quality control laboratory. We use and ELISA Gluten Assay test to determine if a product is gluten free.

Flaxseed adds a light, nutty taste to foods, along with essential fats, dietary fiber and lignans. For optimal health benefit, seeds should be ground before eating.

Suggested Use

Keeps best refrigerated or frozen

Three Seed Bread

1 1/4 cups Water

2 Tbsp Honey

2 Tbsp Canola Oil

2 cups Bob's Red Mill Unbleached White Flour

1 cup Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour

1 1/2 tsp Salt

1/3 cup Bob's Red Mill Flaxseed

2 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds

1 Tbsp Poppy Seeds

2 tsp Active Dry Yeast

Directions: Add ingredients to bread machine in the order recommended by the bread machine manufacturer and select the basic bread cycle. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Other Ingredients

Whole flaxseed.

Manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts and soy.
