Great Vegan Night Cream

Posted by rabbit on Aug 16, 2012 | Verified Purchase

I use this as a night cream moisturizer. I definitely notice an improvement in the evenness and overall appearance of my skin. It's a little sticky, so you can't really wear it under makeup which is why I use it at night. One word of caution: this cream smells like a burnt rubber tire. That is my interpretation of the scent after rubbing it on my face. Honestly, I would rather have it smell like that than contain a fragrance which gives me a headache. Be sure to keep this away from your eyes because it will blur your vision and make your eyes water. It's a good moisturizer overall - when I wake up, my skin always appears younger and more refreshed. I had a difficult time deciding whether or not to buy this product because I wasn't sure if it was vegan. For anyone out there who is vegan, according to the company's website, this product is indeed vegan: "The derma e® Natural Bodycare line of 100+ products is cruelty-free and 100% vegetarian, and most of our products are suitable for vegans. Customers who choose to avoid beeswax should be aware that the following products may contain this ingredient: • Anti-Aging Moisturizing Complex, SPF 15 (Item #0405) • Anti-Ache™ Herbal Pain Relief Crème (Item #8400)" It also reads "100% vegan and cruelty-free" on the jar itself.

Good moisturizer

Posted by Reviewer1581597 on Feb 13, 2012 | Verified Purchase

I've been using this for ~2weeks. I feel like this product really helps with evening out the skin tone. Also, it is non-scented which is good.

Very low odor

Very low butter odor and does not leave your skin oily. Good for people who don't like scented creams.

Not crazy about

Posted by Reviewer3165449 on Nov 22, 2011 | Verified Purchase

This moisturizer is fragrance free, which is something I definitely need and the consistency is fine, it's kind of medium, not too thick and not too thin in my opinion. The problem is that I am sixty years old and it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me as far as how my skin looks immediately and seems to either soak in or evaporate and leave my skin looking kind of dry. It might be great for someone younger or it might take a while to see results and I have only used it for a few days. However, I have used creams that make my skin look better immediately after use and help makeup to look better (I only use a natural mineral powder foundation and it tends to look dry on top of this moisturizer.) Just saying that it might not be the greatest for older women -- and I do tend to have an oily T-zone and still don't think it is doing anything for me. It would be nice if when reviewing these types of products more people on here would say what their ages are so the rest of us could tell what age group the product might be best for.
