Fantasic Flavor

Posted by iHerb Customer on Jun 27, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This is the secret ingredient in my vegetable soup. It adds the perfect flavor to go with all the organic veggies I pile in. I wouldn't want to make my soup without it.

Great flavor, my favorite miso

Posted by DonnaMiller on May 30, 2017 | Verified Purchase

I've been using this miso for years and it's my favorite. I tastes great, and adds a nice, full bodied taste to anything I use it in. It's great in soup and salad dressing (white miso is nice in salad dressing too). It's extremely important to me that it's organic since most soybeans are patented, GMO and full of toxic chemicals. I think Eden Foods generally have great quality products, and because of that and the fact that it's organic I like to support them. The current photo as I am writing this is of the old packaging, which is the only thing I could have complained about as far as this miso goes. Not a big deal, but it was often messy and difficult to get the miso out of the package . Now they have new packaging which has a spout built in! I literally just received it an hour ago, so I haven't used it yet. But I think it's going to be so much easier and not as messy and it was previously.

Delicious miso, I like to make miso soup or use it as seasoning

Didn't realise it is imported from Japan

Posted by iHerb Customer on Apr 23, 2016 | Verified Purchase

Product is fine, but it is imported by Eden Foods from Japan. Because of radiation continue to flow from Fukushima, better if Eden finds another supplier, or make its own. Still, this Miso is superb.

Great product - does not heat well

Posted by iHerb Customer on Apr 17, 2016 | Verified Purchase

Love the taste and texture. However, the package says it can compliment stir-fry's as a substitute for soy sauce. I have tried using this in a pan with other food on the stove and it does NOT absorb/melt well - like soy sauce. As an alternative - it's flavor is superior to soy - but lacks in the ability to absorb and infuse.
