Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Replace dairy or coconut milk in sauces, curries, smoothies and more...
Mix 1 Tbsp Creamed Coconut with 2 Tbsp hot water. Stir briskly until fully dissolved. Adjust thickness as desired by adding more or less hot water. Add to soups, gravies, casseroles and other favorite dishes toward the end of cooking.
Note: Creamed Coconut will harden in cool temperatures. To soften, simply immerse closed bag in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes.
Organic Creamed Coconut is perfect for Thai sauces and Caribbean stews. Diluted, pour over fresh fruit to make a delicious and "coconutty" sweet treat.
Or simply add Creamed Coconut into a blender with frozen fruit to enhance tropical smoothies! Experiment!
Organic creamed coconut is a gluten free food.
Store in a cool dry place.

Great price, great product
Great price, great product
Creamed coconut is not the same as condensed coconut milk. It contains coconut-meat solids and is pulpier/thicker, and will not taste like coconut milk by thinning it out with water. What you get: inside the green box you see in the picture is a plastic-wrapped block of creamed coconut. Unless your house is very warm, it will be rock-hard. I fill a bowl with hot tap water and immerse the entire package, then knead it with my fingers after a few minutes. Repeat a couple of times, then snip the package open and pour/squeeze it out like toothpaste for use in cooking. If you don't use the entire package all at once it will resolidify; that's what real coconut cream does. That's why I love these little packages, as opposed to the 16-oz jars of other brands.

In cold weather this needs to be warmed (I put mine in the oven with just the light on and keep my coconut oil in there all the time). It is the perfect size for making chocolate fudge.

This is a very good one. You can add it everywhere. The taste is not strong, but adds a nice flavor.
Good product, annoying packaging

One star docked for packaging, it comes in a vacuum sealed plastic that you have to scrape out with a spatula and make a mess, and store in another container. Also, this is denser than most coconut butters, as far as calories/nutrients.
