Product Overview

Description

  • Environmentally Smart
  • This product uses no endangered wood

A well made hairbrush can last you many years. Hairbrushes with natural boar bristles have been preferred for centuries. Each of our Ambassador Hairbrushes has been carefully hand-crafted to provide years of enjoyable use. Ambassador Hairbrushes are made non-endangered woods, beautifully durable and smooth to the touch. We offer many handle designs to comfortably fit any hand, we also have an extensive range of brush styles to fit many different needs, including hairstyling brushes, professional brushes, as well as wooden & plastic pin options on some styles to expand the range of available options.

Boar bristles distribute the natural oils from their origin in the scalp to the hair ends. Besides adding luster, brushing with a fine Ambassador Hairbrush protects your hair from the elements which cause drying and splitting. For thick hair we recommend our Pneumatic Brushes. They are made with the finest boar bristles available and then reinforced with nylon quills. These brushes can tame the thickest hair while distributing your natural hair oils. Putting time aside each day to pamper yourself using a fine Ambassador Hairbrush can add calm and relaxation to a hectic day.

Suggested Use

To care for your brush, we recommend washing in cool water with the shampoo you use on your hair. Because we use the finest woods we recommend that you do not soak your hairbrush.

You can condition the natural boar bristles, and your hair, by using Nature's Alchemy essential oils of Rosemary or Lavender in the following matter: Please a small amount of Nature's Alchemy essential oils of Rosemary or Lavender in the following manner: Place a small amount of Nature's Alchemy oil, just smaller than a dime, in the palm of your hand. Rub your hairbrush bristles in your palm to apply the oil and brush thoroughly from your scalp to the hair ends. You will see the added shine and conditioning effects immediately. This weekly routine will also add a lovely fragrance to your hair.

After washing it few times I noticed a crack starting off the very top bundle of bristle, going all the way to the other side. The crack is about 1cm long. I'm disappointed as I've taken care of, making sure I don't bang it anywhere and have always washed and dried it according to the directions. Brush has lost just few bristles, but overall bristles are bending already, it's not as neat as the first time I saw it. I don't think this brush will last that long because of that crack. Otherwise, it did fairly good job at distributing the oils all over the lengths of my hair. Bristles are a bit too soft for my liking, and to get the best use of it I'd recommend sectioning hair.

FINALLY found a cruelty-free boar bristle hair brush! My hair is very fine and straight, and this brush was gentle enough for me (as long as I was very careful and detangled beforehand). It's a great scalp-exfoliant, too. I've bought multiple and one one brush, the outer coat has seriously chipped off the point of where it's almost bare, but the actual brush works great which is all I wanted. Still going strong almost 2 years later with regular use and regular washing.

This is an amazing hair brush. I can just tell that it is going to last me decades based on how well-made it is. Given that the bristles are anchored directly into wood, rather than into a rubber base, it is much easier to keep clean.

Very much toooo soft to be usable. And flat, like a clothing brush.
