Go Raw, Organic Simple Seed Mix, 1 lb (454 g)
Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

My first time trying sprouted seeds. I had no idea that nuts and seeds were supposed to be soaked and/or sprouted before consumption. Nor did I know that they (non-organic) were pasteurize here in the USA. Needless to say, I will be ordering these again.
Not your ordinary seeds

I purchased this product once. Once received, I found it interesting that the seeds look like they were roasted in tamari. They're raw, though, and the difference in appearance must be an effect of the sprouting. Once opened, I discovered that they're insanely delicious. Maybe it's because it addressed a deficiency, or maybe because of the difference sprouting makes, I found it funny just how out of control my reaction was. I also never encountered an "off" seed. Perhaps a testament as to how fresh they are, or perhaps not. I just noticed that a couple of reviewers are repelled by the fact that the seeds are sourced from China. The folks at Go Raw probably have no choice. Pumpkin seeds, pumpkin "guts" grown in the U.S. are used to feed livestock (as well as 70% of all grain grown here, according to a 90s figure.) Importing the seeds guarantees a reliable supply. This goes back decades. I give this four stars because with a product of this type there's always uncertainty as to the freshness. But they sure are delicious. I would suggest not being too dismayed by the fact that the seeds are sourced from China. Nationalist bigotry approaches on stealthy footsteps.
Deceptive-product grown in China

I was alerted through another review of this product (which I have purchased many times & was just about to again) that the reviewer had read the product was grown in China. What?! So I went ahead and called the company directly in an attempt to verify. I'm sorry to say it's true. I have purchased their Pumpkin Seeds many times as well, and I'm disappointed to find they're grown there. As the other reviewer correctly pointed out, Go Raw actually buys these from a company in CA who gets them from a US owned company in China. With all the contamination problems, pollution, cost cutting, etc over there it's hard to feel confident about what you're eating- well anywhere really- but especially there. The woman I was speaking with at the company says they're not trying to hide the fact they're from China. I said it seems like it because it's no where on your website, or other sites Go Raw sells on. When I expressed my disappointment and that I wouldn't be purchasing from them any longer, her reply couldn't have been more chipper! Huh?!

China of all Places. Go Raw has Gone Rotten! I just heard these seeds are sourced from an American company that oversees the supposedly organic supplier in China. This is of ZERO reassurance since even if they may be following organic practices (a big "if" in a place where corners are routinely cut to save costs) they can not control the horrible air pollution spread across the whole country (also, the government reports 90% of the water sources are polluted). There is no mention on the packaging, it seems "USDA Organic" check-the-box labeling is good enough. Not for me. How can we trust Go Raw from here?? They just killed the brand. Too bad, I really loved what I thought they were doing. Instead of going the easy and cheap route they should have focused on developing their supply chain and helped to grow true organic farming from trustworthy sources.
