Love this soap, less expensive at my local grocery

This is one of the few products I've bought on iherb which costs less at my local brick and mortar store. So i no longer get it from iherb. It's good soap, I use it to shower with as well as to wash my hair sometimes. It helps keep my scalp from getting scaly. Best shampoo I've found for that is baking soda and apple cider vinegar!

Too Drying

Posted by 5184165757120365747 on Apr 20, 2014 | Verified Purchase

I've been washing my face (oily skin and acne-prone) by crushing real rolled oats using a mortar and pestle. While that has been very effective in clearing and balancing my skin, I've found that it might be too much of a hassle especially when travelling overseas. Thus, I set out to find a soap bar or facial cleanser that can mimic the effectiveness of real crushed oats that are saturated in the shower while, at the same time, having the convenience of usage. Unfortunately, this soap is just like any other commercial soap bar that you use for the body. It's far too drying for the face even if I use it sparingly. It's just like any moisturising soap bar that you can get for less from brands like Nivea. I know that other reviewers have stated that it is not drying and cleanses well. However, I strongly believe that if you use the crushed oatmeal method (which can be found on Youtube), you would realise that you can clean well without over drying and that this is indeed too drying.
