Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Tea Ceremony in a Teabag
For several weeks in early spring, farmers in the Uji district, traditional center of the Japanese tea industry, gather the first flush of new buds and leaves for processing into Sencha, the highest grade of Japanese tea for export. The bud and top tow leaves are cut at the peak of flavor and quickly pan-fired to halt oxidation of the precious polyphenols. Next the buds and leaves are rolled into tight curls, slowly dried, and immediately packed to seal in the fresh flavor and aroma. Try our Haiku Organic Japanese Sencha Green Tea and you will understand why true connoisseurs of Japanese green tea will drink nothing else.
The GES Pledge of Purity
No ingredient of Haiku Organic Japanese Sencha Green Tea has been grown from genetically engineered seed or irradiated. No ingredient has been grown using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, or been processed using artificial preservatives, flavorings, or colorings. This product has been grown and processed on certified organic farms, and packaged and stored in certified organic facilities prior to sale by GES.
Whisked to a steaming broth, the cha is passed around. We sip its flavor: Ah.
To prepare hot, bring one cup cold water per teabag or 4 cups per 4 teabags (a teapot) to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit for a minute. Pour over the tea. Allow to steep no more than 2 minutes or tea may become bitter. Remove teabags and serve.
Organic Japanese sencha green tea leaves and buds.
Our teabags are made from unbleached natural fibers with individual cellophane wraps to preserve freshness.

Haiku's Sencha Tea is simply amazing! It's a nice green color and it taste really nice. Also "Sencha" Green tea's tend to have more EGCG (Power antioxidant) than other type of green teas.
