Not bad

I bought it to apply on my skin as a moisturizer (face and body). It worked wonders, but it got rancid quite fast, so it is a matter of using it in no more than 2 months after opening. On the other hand, I'd prefer it was certified organic.

Excellent moisturizer for oily skin

Posted by iherb-rocks on Nov 23, 2013 | Verified Purchase

Yes, you read it right. It works as an excellent, light-weight moisturizer for oily, acne-prone skin. I've been suffering from greasy skin for many years, and even the so-called light moisturizers are useless as all they do is impart a greasy look to my face after a few hours. I'd read about how grapeseed oil is good for oily skin and since I was desperate to moisturize my face without looking like a grease pan, decided to take the plunge. What I do is to mix about 2-3 drops of this with some water at the back of my hand, then spread it on my face. If you have oily skin, you may want to be careful not to use too much, and remember to either gently pat it into your face or blot with tissue after that. I once used too much grapeseed oil on my neck and got a few large pimples a few days later although I hardly ever get pimples there. Overall, I'm very pleased with this oil and use it both in the morning (under a creamy or powder foundation, without any issues) and at night. I do use a bit of neem oil as well on my pimples, and sometimes add a bit of castor oil to parts of my face which I think are a little more dry. This routine has worked far better than any of the expensive lotions that I've purchased over the years, and they do not contain harmful chemicals. I have to admit to buying this oil in error.

I meant to buy the castor oil, after reading about its for the skin. Oh well. Heritage products are always very good, so it's not at all wasted. I tried it as a moisturiser last night, it's light and clean and good. Tasted good too.
