A different kind of tooth care, genuine Cayce formula

Posted by 4878694525138216375 on Dec 01, 2016 | Verified Purchase

I prefer original Edgar Cayce formulae and was willing to give Ipsab a try. This is clearly different from any conventional toothpastes, having a salty taste and non foaming consistency. The fine crystals tend to stick between teeth but they are water soluble, so they will dissolve during brushing. Not irritating and leaves a good mouth feel. Much better tasting than a homemade variant which I once prepared from finely ground table salt and soda, that was way too salty. The ingredients are only mildly abrasive and thus this probably does not have a whitening effect.

Too rough on gums due to wrong herb

Posted by teacup on Nov 09, 2015 | Verified Purchase

Zanthoxylum Clava Herculis is too rough on the gums and my tongue. They should have used Zanthoxylum Americanum which has medicinal properties and historically has been called the Toothache Tree. I stopped using this after a few days and I was only using it once a day. It made my gums sore. After babying my gums a few days I switched to 2 of those ingredients, Baking Soda and Sea Salt, and added Hydrogen Peroxide as per the Dr. Paul Keyes research published in the 1980s. A friend gave me a copy of an article outlining his research that was published in "American Health" magazine in August 1987. I used that technique for many years and had no cavities for more than 10 years so I drifted away from using it and basically forgot about it until recently. You can search for: Dr. Paul Keyes Technique + Baking Soda Ignore the put-down articles by dentists who are upset that many patients applying his research healed their own gums or stopped having cavities. (It also helps to avoid sugar and to brush or waterpik your teeth after eating)(Grin) I might try adding some Zanthoxylum Americanum Prickly Ash instead of what Heritage Store is using and add it too. You can easily view a summary of both of these herbs on Wikipedia. The one Heritage Store used, Zanthoxylum Clava Herculis, doesn't show any specific medicinal properties. I do not have access to all of the Edgar Cayce readings in order to note what type of Prickly Ash herb he recommended in this regard. Bottom line: try baking soda, sea salt, hydrogen peroxide as a home-made tooth cleaner a few times a week and see if you see and feel an improvement. I do not get too complicated. I simply mix it up in the palm of my hand or in a shot-glass. Then I sort of stuff it into the spaces between each tooth with a baby size toothbrush or dental rubber tip, let it sit a short time while I gently brush my teeth and my tongue and then remove it all with a WaterPik Water Flosser. Do Not scrub too hard. Be Gentle. THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE SIMPLY ANOTHER THING TO TRY IN ORDER TO SELF-IMPROVE.

This looks and tastes exactly like very finely ground Himalayan pink salt! No peppermint taste. It's nasty!!!

nice toothpowder

Posted by bugajuk on Feb 15, 2015 | Verified Purchase

Nice toothpowder to use in evening. Need to get used to it, because of salty taste. Good amount and it is cheap. Cleans very well, although i want something other in the morning, like Nature's Gate, Natural Toothpaste, Creme de Anise, Fluoride Free...
