Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Vitamin B3 Niacin
Many B vitamins are used in the body individually or in combination with enzymes to help release energy from carbohydrates, fat, and protein. Vitamin B coenzymes are crucial to the metabolic pathways that generate the energy needed by every cell in the body. Because they are codependent in their metabolic activities, a deficiency of one B vitamin can affect optimal functioning of organ systems throughout the body.
Niacin is the only B vitamin that can be synthesized in the liver from the amino acid tryptophan — on average, 1 mg of niacin can be synthesized from the ingestion of 60 mg of tryptophan. In its coenzyme forms, niacin is crucial to energy transfer reactions, particularly the metabolism of glucose, fat, and alcohol. Niacin's beneficial effects on blood lipids is well-documented.
Read the entire label and follow the directions carefully prior to use.
Take one (1) capsule daily with meals, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
Gelatin, vegetable stearate.
Caution: Temporary flushing, itching, rash or gastric disturbances may occur. Liver function testing is recommended when niacin is taken in excess of 500 mg daily. Those with gout or liver diseases should avoid taking high doses of niacin.
Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
- Keep out of the reach of children.

I take niacin at 500mg/day for the last two months. It has helped me to increase HDL, nad lower LDL and triglycerides. Also, niacin is the only supplement that has proved to decrease the thicknes of atheromatic plaque. My 14 yo son takes the same amount to help his acme. After one month, results are really impressive. We both flash, but it is not that bad. As a matter of fact, we enjoy it.

My wife took one tablet B3Niacin in the evening of 21of September. 40 minutes laterher body became dark-red, she burned inside, and itching all over. I helped her into the bath, and there she sat for about 20 minutes in Cold water, while I called an ambulance. She told the doctor what sort of pils she had taken. Luckely this story has a happy ending for my wife and me, but it was very scary. So these tablets do not fit everybody.

I had previously used Niacin tablets for "flushing" purposes some years ago. This time however on my third dose I experienced a severe flushing experience so went to do some research online where I read that high niacin doses may cause nausea which I was then feeling and a drop in blood pressure for those who suffer from hypotension. I attempted to stand & go to the bathroom when I blacked out and luckily my husband found me not long after as I was choking. Needless to say I will not be taking any more and advise that this product should be taken under doctor's supervision. May be useful for anyone with hypertension.

If your looking for the real thing, this brand will give you the niacin flush. Be careful though, it's strong. I halved the dose by buying empty gel caps and dividing the mixture.
huge side effect experienced

I bought and ate this product just one time and went to the hospital. All over my face, neck and hands got rash after about 10 mins. Also my body temperature got high. The doctor said that I was experiencing the side effect. As soon as I got home, I threw this product into the trash can. It was the first experience of the kind I have ever had. No thanks.
