Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

We've been warming the hearts, minds and souls of the most discriminating oatmeal lovers for over 150 years. Enjoy the all natural, whole grain, goodness of McCann's Irish Oatmeal today.
100% Whole Grain Goodness
Soluble fiber from oatmeal, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. One serving of oatmeal supplies 1 gram of the 3 grams of beta glucan soluble fiber necessary per day to have this effect.
Steel Cut Oats are a long standing tradition in Ireland where the rich soil and moist climate produce some of the finest oats in the world.
One look tells you that Steel Cut Oats are different. The outer husk is removed from the oat kernel which is then cut into pieces using steel discs. That's it! (No steaming and rolling like conventional oats). The result is a truly distinct flavor and texture that delivers the goodness of unprocessed, 100% whole grain oats.
Diet experts and nutritionists are recommending Steel Cut Oats as the perfect start to your morning. A hearty bowl of McCann's Steel Cut Oats, unlike most highly processed breakfast cereals, gives you sustained energy to power you through your morning.
Each serving of Steel Cut Oatmeal contains 1 gram of soluble fiber.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
Boil 4 cups of water, add 1 cup of McCann's Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal, stir well. When the porridge is smooth and beginning to thicken, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Traditionally served with fresh buttermilk, Irish porridge is also good with milk or cream and brown sugar or honey, or with butter.
Short Cut to Steel Cuts Method
Boil four cups of water in a pot. Add 1 cup of steel cut oats and simmer 1 minute. Cover pot and store overnight in refrigerator. The next morning cook the oatmeal on low for 9-12 minutes; stirring occasionally.
This recipe prepares 4 servings.
For thicker oatmeal, use less water.

Любите себя и кушайте вкусное!/// Whole oats are very useful product - it provides the energy for a long time after breakfast! It helps your intestines, and therefore your immune system up to par. The smell of a pleasant morning, all relatives flock to the kitchen when I was covering desk! Even those who had gruel, even those who previously did not eat gruel. I cook it the night before (just boil milk with just a couple of minutes) for the night, she will insist and then just reheat in the morning - it takes little time. Now no one will forget to come from their home to me in the evening and recall - "Swara gruel tomorrow!" I advise everyone, put the product 10 stars. Love yourself and eat delicious!

My second favorite breakfast, tasty and healthy, but cook time is around 40 min even if you leave it with water for a night

Muy ricos, mucho más que los típicos instantaneos. El problema es que pesan bastante y considerando los gastos de envío, no sale muy rentables comprarlos, aunque sí lo hago de vez en cuando.

I haven't eat this kind of porridge before, only rolled oats. This is very good, but I don't know which one is better. Only minus is the long cooking time, but maybe I'll try the quick cooking version next.

Cooking it is harder and takes longer than cooking regular oats. If you like your oats to be crunchy, you'll like this.
