iHerb Customer Reviews

Even without the DAO, Histame is still a great support, however...,

Posted by Reviewer1713725 on May 26, 2017 | Verified Purchase

there is still, currently, a supplier of DAO in the USA and the brand is Umbrellux DAO by Diem Labs, LLC. in Wyoming. I can't post the outside link so, go fish. The new Histame without the DAO is still a great support for the body but there are many sick and suffering from histamine intolerance and mast cell activation disorder that have absolutely no quality of life without supplementing with the DAO enzyme. I am one of them. Pancreatin (I have been using NOW brand) is helping, somewhat, in lieu of the DAO. The medical world is only beginning to be aware of these conditions, instead of passing them off as, and treating them as, other conditions and we have suffered long enough with misdiagnosis and meds. Educate your physicians and eat fresh greens and anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine foods daily. Take systemic or digestive enzymes (I use Medizym or Doctor's Best) to lower inflammation and improve physical symptoms in general. Take LOTS of bioflavonoids and vitamin C. Keep stress levels low or meditate. Join groups. These are just suggestions, but I have found that proactive is so much easier than reactive. Namaste

ingredients changed: No longer contains DAO

Posted by FightingFatigue on Apr 27, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This product is not helpful for histamine intolerance. Histame and Nutricology DAO were both fabulous but are no longer available. Histame have radically changed the ingredients without changing the packaging. It's very misleading!!! The current ingredients in Histame are a poor imitation of the DAO which made it possible to enjoy a wide range of foods including bananas, cocoa, tomatoes and avocado. DAO helped my mood, energy, pain and well-being. This does nothing

Helps create a buffer for people sensitive to biogenic aminoacids and high histamine foods

Posted by Reviewer3181965 on Feb 16, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This was a life saver when I had food allergies. A product called N-A-G (n-acetyl-glucosamine) helped me reapir my leaky gut and since I have been well. However, I do have a tendency to react to foods, and a take this always with me as precaution or first aid.-

Not the Same! No Daosin

Posted by Reviewer2280692 on Jan 11, 2017 | Verified Purchase

Very upset that this would be advertised as the same product as it was before. This does not contain Daosin, therefore, it is worthless to me and anyone that has a real problem with HIT. Why is this product being sold as Histame? It is junk. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with a product from iherb

This is not the same product

Posted by 5277168365603272977 on Jan 08, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This is not the same product as before. It contains totally different elements that the one before that contained just DAOsin the enzyme that actually breaks down histamine. I wonder why iherb has listed it as being the same product
