Supplement for my dog

Posted by Reviewer2822701 on Nov 15, 2015 | Verified Purchase

D-ribose is a type of sugar and has shown to help dogs with CHF (congestive heart failure) and also with MVD (mitral valve disease (MVD) which is a form of heart disease that is one cause of heart murmurs. D-ribose improves ventilation efficiency and may help to strengthen heart as well. If you wish to further research this for your own dog google D-ribose and Mitral Valve Disease and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for more information. I could not find reliable information on dosage, but one person said she was giving her 25-pound dog 850 mg of D-ribose twice daily. So I gave 1/2 a cap to my 18 pound Pekingese. I am knocking off one star since I found out that I supplemented my dog too late and he died in my arms at the vet due to an allergic reaction to a rabies shot.. He was only on this supplement for 2 weeks and he passed away.

This product is amazingly helpful in maintaining health and energy. After using it for about a year, I had my annual checkup and along with my blood pressure being lower and heart in excellent shape, my blood oxygen level was at 100%. This is all very good news to both me and my doctor. Also, my order was filled and delivered in a very timely manner.
