Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Kelp is a large, leafy seaweed belonging to the brown algae family that grows in "forests" in the colder waters of the world's oceans. Kelp has been used for centuries as an important nutritious staple ingredient in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisines. It is also an excellent source of iodine, which has been shown to be essential for healthy thyroid function.

Adds lot's of micro-minerals and vitamins in a good balanced way. Including iodine, that seems to help with thyroid (from what I've read). I stay away from salt to help with BP, so this should help supply the iodine. The scoop is small. I like to take 1/4 level teaspoon at a time for a 670 mcg dose. There are 450 servings at that dose (level quarter teaspoon). Great value. iHerb is the best. UPDATE: I had new bloodwork done and my TSH has fell to 12 from 18, but is still very high, so have started on Natural Thyroid Medication. I'll lower the serving of kelp to the recommended dose. Seems that lack of iodine isn't causing my hypothyroid problem.

The taste is like sea water. It is easy to discover that it is natural product. I like the taste. I like the sentence of Dr. William Davis, the author of the book "Wheat belly": " If it (iodine) were a drug, it would enjoy repeated expensive marketing and a price tag around $150 per month. But it is an essential nutrient that enjoys none of the attention-getting advantages of drugs, and therefore is unlikely to be mentioned by your doctor, yet carries great advantage for helping to maintain overall health."
Great value for money!

Obviously this doesn't taste great on its own, but I always add a teaspoon to either my green smoothies or I add a teaspoon to spreads or foods where I want to add a "fishy" taste and aroma :)
a little goes a long way

I got this for a recipe - Kelp Powder was recommended by a youtuber - cheaplazyvegan. To add sea flavor to a Korean stew. I used a bit too much but it was really good and worked great.
