Suggested Use

As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times daily as needed, preferably on an empty stomach.

Other Ingredients

Vegetable polysaccharide (capsule), silica and magnesium stearate (vegetable source).

Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.

This product has twice the L-Theanine (200 mg per capsule) as in our regular strength product (100 mg per capsule).

Generally not a believer into so called nootropics or other scientifically unproven products. L-Theanine is definitely one of them where much isn't known but there are some theories and so on. Well, to my surprise it does indeed work to a certain degree. Don't expect a miracle but it gives a little bit of boost, slightly better concentration and much easier time to tolerate higher caffeine dosage. I wouldn't say it's as stimulating as caffeine nor does it really help to relax if you're considerably stressed for any reason. It can help to work or otherwise concentrate consistently for longer periods to a point where you may become completely oblivious to time. If you're depressed then I'd give it a shot. It can potentially cause motivation spikes what helps to get out of bed and start doing something but in case of severe depression I wouldn't count on it. In my case I needed around two pills every four to six hours to keep the "flow" going if that was necessary. Since it isn't exactly cheap I wouldn't use it every day and become dependent on it. It has no negative side-effects when stopping or anything akin to that. So, no worries there. Just a small heads-up. If you're suffering from manic depressive episodes or are easily agitated (bipolar) then unfortunately it can cause racing thoughts and make you even more easily agitated. It's again one of those things what depends from person to person. Some may notice little to no effect whereas others may experience significant positive effects. Tolerance issue is unknown. It did become the normal way to function after about two weeks much like with caffeine. You don't necessarily notice any effects since you're already used to what it does (if anything). I did not, at any point have the need or urge to consume higher amounts. It can be very likely any effect I think I felt was a placebo effect. Definitely something to consider. Due to its subtle effects (if they're real to begin with) it's hard to conclusively say anything. I'd keep an eye on any quality studies in the future but in the mean time. If it works, great. I'd say it's a worth a shot if you've never tried any other "alternative" ways to either help you with anxiety, depression or other issues or are simply looking for a bit of a boost in terms of mental concentration. It can work but depends. There's unfortunately very few studies to back this up to any significant degree as with other similar products. L-Theanine did make me more interested in other similar products because I didn't expect it to work at all. It must be said that as harmless as it may seem there's little known about it especially when consumed for longer periods at high dosage. Consulting with your doctor beforehand is recommended to ensure it doesn't interact with any other medications or existing issues (if there are any). So, I cannot say it's safe. Unfortunately, I don't know. Take care.
