Now Foods, Organic Essential Oils, Lavender, 1 fl oz (30 ml)
Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

I love the lavender oil!! You can definitely tell a difference between the organic as I have the non-organic in the same brand as well. I didn't realize it when I bought the non-organic but chemicals are used in the extraction and the organic smells so much nicer and natural than the non-organic. My customer service experience was positive. The USPS made a mistake in delivery (delivered to wrong apt) and my package was delayed several days. That was not the fault of the company however and I will definitely order again and have referred this company to several friends in search of organic lavender oil. thank you.

unmitigated prices tend to over charge if you are a long term customer.

This is the most expensive lavender oil I have purchased there is nothing extra ordinary about it .Paid $ 40.00 .I was a great fan of Iherb until they decided to over charge me.I have been recommending I herb to all my friends now I shall warn them against I Herb. As a loyal customer I have been ordering my requirements without checking prices of other providers. whoever has paid $40 for 30 ml lavender oil.
Results are fast and works well!!

Works very well on small area [eg size of a small coin or smaller] skin infections, pimples, insect bites etc. If you can tolerate it full strength results are fast, you will see improvements within a day or two. Test skin first and dilute if you have sensitive skin, with extra virgin olive oil. haven't tried on larger wounds, not sure if that would be safe. Keeps mozzies away too. Recommended!

Let me just state that the quality of this oil is not bad but it’s over priced compared to other bulk type essential oils even for organic. Makes me doubt how bad the quality would be if I were to purchase non-organic kind from this company. I’ve used countless lavender oils imported from France, while I was living in England, and also in Tokyo where the consumers don’t use nothing but the best, this oil quality is fresh and would rate 7 out of 10. But not the best kind. Why it’s 3 stars? This is a way over priced its used to be cheaper now increased price to $6 more?? I can get the same quality sold in such a bulk much cheaper from aromatherapy pro shops sold in smaller quantities (essential oil is sold from 5 ml for non expensive kind such as this oil, this is 30 ml, I expect much more discount than this for sure). It’s easy to extract lavender oil and lavender oil is not an expensive oil than say rose or orange flower for example. As for the comments by reviewers saying it smells off putting or gasoline, it’s either they’ve received a bottle that was not kept well. I’ve purchased this bottle from iHerb countless times and this has never happened to me. The oil from the bottle is supposed to smell very strong and quite sharp to the nose. You MUST dilute it in carrier oil or blend with other oils and then dilute it in cream, lotion, etc. in order to get floral scent. Lavender also comes in different varieties as well. But this oil is the average lavender oil of good quality, not the best but good enough but priced wrong for such bulk quantity. If you have not studied anything about aromatherapy and how to use it, please do pick up a book or read online about how to best use and blend essential oils. Lavender and Tea Tree are the only oil that can be used “neat” (straight on skin out of bottle without diluting) for medicinal purposes but you won’t get the floral scent you may have imagined.

Lacked the sweet, fresh lavender scent that I'm used to from other brands. The smell of Now's product is slightly earthy. But if you are not particular and the organic label is important to you, this may be worth buying.
