Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

I've been taking this for quite some time as part of my Ayurvedic treatment regime for some health issues. It has been instrumental in rejuvenating the body and increasing life force (ojas). I have more energy, a much stronger immune system and have had people say I now glow with energy. The taste of this product is amazing. Spicy with hints of pepper but not overpowering. It has wonderful amount of sweetness. I take 1 teaspoon morning and night off the spoon. If you have a sensitive stomach you can take some warm milk (preferably warm unpasteurised milk) with it to reduce aggravation (of pitta). This is medicine so try not to ingest more than recommended (tempting because it tastes great) or it may not work as well or even aggravate on some level. This is very efficient jam. This company is highly respected. I wouldn't even consider this product from a non-organic source. One taste and I'm sure you'll agree how amazing this is.

Superbly delicious, but as it states on the label, you should only eat about a tsp/tbsp at a time, which is still great on my oats in the morning. the only downside is that it solidifies greatly in the fridge, and is hard to scoop out. a really amazing treat, especially in the cooler months. <3
Overall health tonic

This is my first exposure to Chyawanprash so flavor wise, I can't compare it to others. I am an herbalist myself, and this contains several herbs to treat a little bit of whatever ails you. Naturally, it has an herbal taste that is tempered buy the ghee, sesame oil, and honey base. It is not gross or yucky, maybe just an acquired taste. I enjoy mixing it into tea in place of honey. It adds a nice dimension with out over powering the tea. I think it is a little strong to spread on toast. It is sticky, so for mixing into a smoothie, it would be like blending in honey or coconut oil...best done with a vitamin or slightly warming the Chyawanprash first. I first drank it on a day when I felt blue, and had very low energy. I definitely felt more clear and uplifted after drinking it.
