Product Overview

Description

 • Dietary Supplement
 • Antioxidant Protection

Alpha-lipoic acid is a powerful fat-and water-soluble antioxidant. It directly recycles vitamin C and indirectly recycles vitamin E, providing additional antioxidant protection. It is also an important component in the energy production process in the cells. Alpha-lipoic acid may support the normal insulin response and healthy blood sugar levels already within the normal range.

Suggested Use

1 to 4 tablets daily with a meal. For maximum results, include vitamin B complex, magnesium and coenzyme Q10 with alpha lipoic acid in your nutrition program.

Other Ingredients

Sorbitol, silica, magnesium stearate, and modified cellulose gum.

Suitable for vegetarians. Contains no yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy or wheat. Contains no sugar, starch, salt, preservatives, or artificial color, flavor or fragrance.

Warnings

Note: If you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your health care professional before using this product.

Best Value ALA

Posted by 5634513720799069846 on Nov 26, 2016

There a a couple of brands that I find more potent, but they are much more expensive. I always have a bottle of these with me for relief from neuropathy. This dosage works well for Cutler detox protocol.

ALA

Posted by TinVal on Aug 22, 2012

The body under optimum conditions may be able to manufacture enough alpha-lipoic acid for its metabolic functions (as a co-factor for a number of enzymes involved in converting fat and sugar to energy), but additional amounts provided by supplements allow alpha-lipoic acid to circulate in a "free" state. In this state, alpha-lipoic acid has the unique ability to function as both a water- and fat-soluble antioxidant. I give four stars because of abundance of fillers in these tablets.

Awesome dose for Andy's mercury chelation protocol

Posted by MichaelLabib on Aug 19, 2012

If you are not familiar with Andy's mercury chelation protocol, please google it. If you have Amalgam fillings, then you must google Andy's mercury chelation protocol. As a warning taking ALA while having Amalgam fillings is really not advised, it will harm you. Anyway, I split the tablet in half so I take 25mg every 3 hours. After few rounds on the protocol, I must say I'm getting better. This is the lowest dose I found oh iherb, so thank you iherb and thank you source naturals :)

Contains sorbitol

Posted by Reviewer2903616 on Nov 22, 2011

I was angry to find out it had sorbitol listed in the Other Ingredients ...its actually my fault as i should of noticed before ordering...but still was a piss off ...am using them for andy cutler chealtion method and would like to limit the amount of artificals in my diet/supplements so i'll have to opt for a different ALA next order
