Stressed? Grab and absorb this booklet! Stress is a way of life. It is either good, or bad. Good stress is characterized by our body's "fight-or-flight" response to a discomforting stimulus (e.g. 'stressor'). It becomes bad, when stress becomes prolonged that the body tires out. The booklet gives a clear profile of stress, how it comes about, how the body copes with it, how to handle "bad" stress, and suggests nutritional supplements that help the body cope with bad stress. I liked the stress quiz on page 9. If you feel you are stressed out, answer it and it will help you identify what/who/where your stressors are. For stress management, I pick 3 that for me are easiest and cheapest: deep breathing, regular exercise, and sleep. For helpful supplements, a certain Dr. Lyons identifies Suntheanine. He says that it is produced in Japan and meets the highest standard of purity. Suntheanine contains the amino acid L-theanine. L-theanine studies show, promotes calm and relaxation, sleep, mental clarity and focus. It is regarded as the safest and most effective natural product for stress. L-theanine is abundant in GREEN TEA. Suntheanine is a patented pure form of L-theanine, with more than 100 clinical studies which showed its positive effects on stress (see page 28 for the details). Well, I may be inclined to research if this Dr. Lyons has a conflict of interest with his endorsements, but the initial informationon L-theanine/Suntheanine is very encouraging to me. If it says it will give me good sleep, improve my mental sharpness, protects me from colds and flu, and lowers my blood pressure ... then I'm buying!
