I love paprika for color and I discovered when it was missing from a dish that the food lost its juiciness as well as flavor. I love the excellent quality.... organic.

"Warning" Metal or Stone Contaminated Product

Posted by iHerb Customer on Aug 14, 2012 | Verified Purchase

"Starwest Botanicals, Paprika Powder, Organic, 1 lb" have contaminated with metal or stone powder .This contamination may be come from manufacturing process. I have found it from the following test to check metal or stone contamination. Place one table spoon of the Paprika powder in a white coloured mug cup and fill with water then mix solution for one minute. Drain upper solution carefully and then look the bottom remaining . You can easily distinguish black powder or gritty foreign materials from the paprika. Further drying this foreign materials, you can see some metals attracting to a magnet.
