Expiration Date:Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Blend, The Tao of Tea
Earl Grey is probably the most well known tea in the west and perhaps the first scented tea. Its popularity parallels that of Jasmine tea in China, and Chai in India. This is a hand crafted blend of certified organic black tea and organic Bergamot Essence.
Organic Black Tea
Although, there are several types of black teas, we choose only a fine grade of organic black tea that has full-body and smooth texture.
Fresh, citrusy and slightly floral. Strong, full-rounded taste.
Reggio di Calabria in Southern Italy is the native growing area for 'Citrus Bergamia' Bergamot.
Its arrival in Calabria is shrouded in mystery, and even though it grows elsewhere, only in this area does it give us the essential oil popularity used to make Earl Grey tea. The oil is also widely used for aromatherapy treatments and is knows to have antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties. We use a refined, steam-distilled essence of organic bergamot for this tea.
Use one teaspoon of leaf in eight ounces of non-chlorinated water at 180F for three minutes.
100% organic black tea leaves, organic bergamot essence.
Whole leaves, strong taste.
Whole leaves, strong taste.
It is great that this is a whole leaf tea and at the same time also organic. The taste, however, is not as balanced as I expected as the black tea is is a bit strong and overwhelms the bergamot. Overall, the taste is not very smooth or refined. However, I am still giving it 4 stars because it is whole leaf, organic and at a superbly great price AND stored in a such a lovely stainless steel tin with a double lid. What more can you expect? Some of the very balanced and refined tasting teas out there are very artistically made and very well blended but they are extremely expensive and not neccessary organic - so if you are looking for a healthier version that don't break the bank, it is a good choice.
My husband loves it!

This is some really good quality-tasting black tea, but the bergamot flavor is almost nonexistent. So it's not what I paid for.

Organic, yes, but the flavor is so faint, it may as well be only black tea with no bergamot
