Product Overview

Description

  • Dietary Supplement

Choleast contains Monascus purpureus, a red-pigmented yeast grown on rice. Numerous studies in China and the United States have demonstrated that red yeast rice preparations are helpful in maintaining healthy blood cholesterol levels. This is important, as maintaining optimal cholesterol levels has been shown to be one component of maintaining good cardiovascular health.

Choleast-900 contains consistent amounts of the naturally-occurring monacolins found in red yeast rice, without standardization or fortification. In addition to natural monacolins, red yeast rice contains the phytosterols beta-sitosterol, campesterol, and stigmasterol, as well as isoflavones and trace minerals, all of which can contribute to cardiovascular health.

Suggested Use

As recommended by your health-care practitioner.

Excellent product it really works

My levels have been between 7 and 7.5 for 10 years and I started on Cholest 900 because the heart specialist and GP wanted me to take meds. I tried this product for 2 and half months and my levels are now 5...the doctors were really shocked and I am going to continue with the product and see how much lower it will drop in the next few months...very happy with this product

take this instead of statins

Posted by 5081424400231307474 on Feb 15, 2017 | Verified Purchase

this was recommended to me by a naturopath as an alternative to taking the statins that my doctor insisted I take. 2months after starting them the doctor rang me to inform me that my cholesterol levels were now almost down to normal! I never did confess that I hadn't taken the statins! I take 2 a day.

Trusted manufacturer

This is the brand most recommended for red yeast rice both by my naturopath and a Chinese medicine practitioner. This particular formulation, Choleast-900 also provides more of the product than the regular Choleast.

I have used this product for about 4 years now, it has really helped to get my cholesterol under control where I was looking at having to take statins. I also recommend increasing exercise by without choleast, I really believe the cholesterol would have not reduced as much.
