Expiration Date:?June 2022Expiration Date
The length of time for the expiration date or "best used before" date depends on the type of product, as well as the brand.
Perishable items (such as flax oils or certain probiotics) generally have shorter expiration dates. Although our warehouse is fully air-conditioned, these more fragile items are put in cold storage (freezer or refrigeration unit) for maximum freshness.
Our receiving department does its best to verify and then enter the correct expiration dates for all incoming products. However, discrepancies do occur from time to time. This being said, the exceptionally high turnover at iHerb ensures that our inventory is among the freshest in the industry.

Green Tea is considered to be one of the healthiest beverages on the market. Uncle Lee's Tea is providing you with the finest tea leaves for your enjoyment and health.
Oolong Tea
Oolong Tea (literally translated as "Black Dragon") is what is known as a partially oxidized green tea (camellia sinensis), and has some of the qualities of both green tea and black tea. Uncle Lee's Oolong Tea in Bulk consists of high quality oolong harvested from the Fujian Province in China. Because our Oolong is not baked as long as Dark Oolong, the steeped tea has a light golden hue, sweet flora aroma, fresh initial flavor, and a sweet floral aftertaste which lasts after the sip. The rich flavor and fragrant aroma of our oolong tea result from an oxidizing action called "withering". This process is done by tumbling the tea, or otherwise bruising the surface of the leaves. This allows the tea to soften, releasing enzymes that darken the tea leaves when exposed to air.
Oolong Tea is a world famous natural health drink that is loaded with antioxidants and thus, many health benefits. It is a natural fat emulsifier and has approximately 15 to 55 mg caffeine per cup depending on the strength of the brew.
Suggested Use
The fresh water used to steep this tea should be about 185 to 195 degrees F or 85 to 90 degrees C. Use approximately one teaspoon (3 grams) of tea leaves for about every 8 ounces (150 milliliters) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes is recommended with more or less time depending on the desired concentration. As a rough guide, the higher the temperature of the water or the greater amount of leaves used, the shorter the steeping time should be. The tea leaves should uncurl for full flavor. When preparing this tea, the leaves can be used multiple times, until the flavor of the tea is exhausted. Each canister of Uncle Lee's Green Oolong Tea will yield approximately 50 to 75 servings.
