  • Rated #1 in Taste!
  • Laboratory Tested Gluten
  • For Carb Conscious Dieters
  • For the Low Carb Way of Life

Just because you're on a low carbohydrate diet, doesn't mean you to have to lower your standards. With Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bars, you can have a bar you really enjoy, one that's full of flavor. The Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bar will satisfy even the most demanding sweet tooth. So if you are sick of low carb bars that taste like cardboard, we recommend the Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bar. No prescription needed.!

Aside from conventional carbs, there's another class of unconventional carbs called polyols or sugar alcohols. Not truly a carb, these nutrients are commonly found in sugar-free foods to impart sweetness and texture. Nutrients such as maltitol and glycerine, do not cause a significant rinse in insulin levels because the body has a hard time absorbing them. This is good because low carb dieting is all about controlling insulin, the hormone which triggers fat storage. Our products all have very low levels of net impact carbs and therefore perfect for a low carb dieter like you.

Just what the doctor ordered....Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bar is the perfect nutritional snack for those on a carb-restricted, higher protein diet. This delicious bar contains 2.5 grams of those carbs that are of concern to carb conscious dieters.

Other Ingredients

Isolates soy protein, glycerine, whey protein concentrate, maltitol syrup, sugar-free chocolate flavored coating (maltitol, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, milk fat, soy lecithin, and vanilla), water, hydrolyzed protein, polydextrose, cocoa, chocolate flavor, peppermint oil, peanut flour, and almonds.

Allergy Alert: Contains soy, milk, peanuts, and tree nuts (almonds, coconut).

All of our bars are sugar free and gluten free.

Taste Great, Healthy but…

This review goes for all the Carbrite Bars: They taste great and are a healthy alternative to a regular chocolate bar. BUT if you're a low carb dieter or a keto dieter, these won't work. You have to count the alcohol sugars as carbs. I'm a keto dieter and these knock me out of ketosis after the 2nd bar. Flavor: Great!! Like the after dinner mints.

Terrible. Read the Glowing Reviews on taste...Not so. Tastes like a cheap hot mint oil, little or no chocolate flavor and WORSE the carb substitute bloats, gives gas (FARTING) and even diarrhoea. Really (embarassing & ) Disappointing...will have to throw the whole box. What a dud.

Delicious taste but fraudulent labeling and explosive diarrhea = BAD

The good: These are delicious! I enjoyed all the flavors I ordered except for the blueberry cheesecake which was not bad but not that great either. My favorite flavors are s'mores and toasted coconut. I can't seem to get enough of these flavors. FYI: in addition to the above mentioned flavors, I also ordered chocolate mint cookie, chocolate brownie, and chocolate peanut butter. I'm an American on a ketogenic diet, living in Japan where rice, bread, and noodles are ubiquitous. So I was desperate for a low carb snack that satisfied my sweet tooth but without the artificial sweeteners. This product seemed to fit the bill and iHerb offers fast and free shipping which is amazing, so I loaded up on six boxes. The bad: Despite the delicious flavors, I can only give this product two stars because of some seriously nasty surprises. First, I cannot eat more than two per day without getting severe, uncontrollable, explosive diarrhea. When I first received this order I was so excited to try the different flavors so I immediately sampled one (chocolate peanut butter) which was delicious, followed by a s'mores flavored bar (even more delicious). Within five minutes my gut was making scary sounds. Imagine taking a half full gallon jug of milk and shaking it violently. That's what it sounded like. I've never heard that before coming from my gut. My abdomen also moved like you wouldn't believe. It was angry. Imagine the vibrations in your body when you rev a sports car engine. That's exactly how my gut was vibrating. After another five minutes had passed I was literally running to the toilet because I was rendered completely incontinent and was soiling my underpants. I could not get off the toilet for one hour because spasms of explosive diarrhea would blast out about once every five minutes. It was excruciating. For the rest of the day I was sharting like you wouldn't believe. I went through five pairs of underwear that day. Gross. Second big negative: these are not low carb at all. Apparently, not only does maltitol induce violent, explosive diarrhea, but about 70% of it gets absorbed by the body. That means the "net impact carbs = 2.5 grams" label is an absolute lie and a fraud. I'm on a ketogenic low-carb diet and eat less than 20 grams of carbs per day. My body absorbs about 10-15 grams of carbs (from the maltitol) in a single bar. Every time I eat one of these bars I get kicked out of ketosis for the rest of the day. I was shocked and infuriated. The digestive issues I could deal with because I simply limited myself to one and a half bars per day. But the fact that these bars are gram-for-gram not much better than a snickers bar in terms of carbs, was really disappointing. I ended up having to give away the rest of these bars to friends (after warning them about possible maltitol digestive issues). It was a total waste of money. Next I'm going to try the Quest Bars. Most of their flavors have sucralose (which gives me migraines), but there are seven flavors that use only Stevia and erythritol which are both natural, have zero carbs, and cause no digestive issues. It amazes me that so many protein bar manufacturers continue to use maltitol and artificial sweeteners when Stevia and erythritol are clearly superior. Maybe it's a cost issue?
