Good pantry item to have on hand. It does reconstitute. My main use is to add dry 1/2 c or so to 1 qt +/- of soymilk to thicken yogurt I make weekly. Delicious!!

I'm 22 year. Is it safe for having this product for me. Does it cause any side effects for young body?

Best Answer
Unless you're going to consume 20 bags of this everyday, you'll be fine. Soy milk doesn't cause any side effects unless you're sensitive to it or you consume large quantities of it for a long period of time.

When i try to check out, this message pops up: Warning: WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Cadmium and Lead, which are known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www. P65Warnings.ca.gov. why so?

From what I understand, each state in the United States has its own regulations for food, oil, and other commodities. California has very specific and strict "warning" requirements other states do not necessarily have. I have never been alarmed by these labels because they seem excessively overly cautious, but that may just be me. I live in Texas where most things are cheaper because they are not burdened by these strict and questionable regulations. I have used Now Foods Soy Milk Powder for years and do not feel it is dangerous to consume it. Maybe if I bathed in it daily and consumed copious amounts I might be exposed to cadmium and lead but then, even sunlight can be dangerous in excessive amounts.

This is not a good substitute. It is more like flour. It separates instantly and does not have a good flavour. I bought two thinking it would be like 'Better Than Milk Soy Milk, original' and it is SO awful. Can you talk to the Better Than Milk folks and see how they made theirs???

I actually love this soy milk powder. I use it all the time in recipes as a milk substitute. It is high in protein too.

Does it have sugar or a strong vanilla flavour, I prefer little or no flavouring so I can mix it with both sweet and savoury dishes like gravy.

Best Answer
It is neither sweet nor does it have a strong vanilla flavor. A very good product, you will not regret it!
