Can the gelatin capsule be discarded and take the powder from inside the capsule directly onto the tongue

Best Answer
Yes, i believe you could. But my assumption is the gelatin capsule preserves the enzymes to be broken down in the stomach, which aids with digestion.

Not advisable, the capsule is there so the enzymes will be absorbed in your small intestine, where it is intended to work

Yes, you can put it on your food, too. But don't let it get too hot, which will destroy the enzymes.

I don't see why not ! However, it would be a little troublesome to be breaking the capsules each time you require enzyme input. In that case, it would be better to consume the separated powder contents miced with some water. It would then reach the stomach much quicker to aid the digestive process. But if capsules are not desired, then enzymes are available in the powdered form which can be taken similarly as you might do with soluble fiber supps to your drinks !
