This is actually very beneficial for people with hyperthyroidism to take 2-4 grams of L-carnitine daily to control the symptoms of excess thyroid hormone. I would of course rather stay clear of L-carnitine in case of people diagnosed with hypothyroidism as it may *potentially* decrease the effectiveness of thyroid hormone therapy (although I found no medical studies to prove that). In short, alc actually may help people with both hyperthyroidism as well as people with hypothyroidism. His analysis is enough for me, so I myself continue to take this.
