The manufacturer does not claim any Sun Protection Factor for the product as they probably haven't had it tested. The natural oils the product contains do have a small SPF usually between 5 and 8. So the product would be suitable to prevent wind-burn and dry lips during winter at sea level in the higher and lower latitudes and indoors. It would not be suitable for use outdoors near the equator, or at high altitudes where UV levels could cause skin damage.

No SPF but I am not sure if SPF it's a good thing anymore. They can use harmful chemicals as SPF and you are putting in your mouth!

There is nothing on the packaging mentioning SPF, leaves me to believe it doesn't have any protection from the sun's rays. Otherwise a great product just not for that purpose.
