I like the sound of their sustainably farmed cordyceps – gene sequencing replicating wild Tibetan cordyceps sinensis, growing conditions mimicking the more obvious conditions of theTibetan plateau (sub-zero temperatures, 50% oxygen levels than at sea level) – only that I don’t understand how they’ve measured the potency as “4-5 times” that of wild cordyceps or if it’s been independently tested. I'm sceptical on this last part as my body is highly sensitive. I’ve been taking it for autoimmune issues. Cordyceps has always been an outstanding herbal for me even before I discovered the Aloha Medicinals brand about 20-22 months ago. I was using another weak commercial brand in a fish essence and I needed 2 bottles a day to feel any impact. I was quite sick in the 2011 period and again more recently. I doubt Aloha Medicinals exceed that commercial brand for roughly the same amount of product. It is good for the price but at $24.99 per 90 capsules which we pulse dose (4-5 days on, 2-3 days off) as a family of four, I am really feeling the mark ups of supplements. When I was directed to their Hongkong office from their US office to ask about bulk orders, I was curtly told “bulk orders are not recommended for end users”. Wow, zero attempt was made to understand my situation and to assist. This cold unhelpfulness almost cancels out any benefit of the cordyceps. Once I have found an alternative source of organic cordyceps as well as other mushrooms, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
