Coconut Secret Raw Organic Coconut Aminos 237 ml Great on salads, pasta, meat, fish, especially sushi The Coconut Secret Vinegar is also very good and highly rich in vitamins, minerals and 17 amino acids. # Certified 100% Organic # GLUTEN-FREE # SOY-FREE # 17 Naturally Occurring AMINO ACIDS # Special Sun Dried, Mineral-Rich SEA SALT # DAIRY-FREE # VEGAN Coconut Aminos vs. Soy-based sauces Among the many nutritional benefits of the Coconut Aminos product, the most notable is its impressive amino acid content compared to soy-based sauces. Commonly described as the "building blocks of protein," amino acids are vitally important to human health. They contribute to the repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue, help to enhance overall brain and nervous system funciton, and assist in boosting the immune system and physical energy levels. Second only to water protein is on of the most important substances in our bodies which is why it is nutritionally beneficial to consume a diet that is rich in amino acids. A comparison between coconut tree sap and soy, shows that coconut sap contains up to 14 times the amino acid content of soy. Many soy sauces on the market are fermented by first soaking the soybeans in water and salt, and then adding specific cultures of molds, yeasts and bacteria to help catalyze the fermentation process. Coconut Aminos is made from coconut tree sap, which comes right out of the tree so vital, active and alive nutrients, that is only blending with our own sun dried mineral-rich sea salt and aged, without the need for a fermentation booster or added water. As well, the majority of conventional soy sauces on the market are made with non-organic, genetically modified (GMO) soybeans. Long term use of unfermented soy related products has led to an increase in soy allergies, a disruption in proper thyroid function, and an overload of estrogens in the body.

This product is the single best source of Amino Acids you will find on this planet. It also makes a great replacement to soy sauce which is in all likelihood from GMO soy. I try never to eat any soy products since the industry has been taken over by Monsanto! Coconut Secret is a great brand. Highly recommended. ;))

Wow, I'm hooked on their coconut aminos! It's sweet and tastes nothing like coconut. iHerb should really start carrying the 16oz. version because this size is too small, & purchasing the larger version saves money. I found the 8 & the 16oz. on another website at a great price. Yummy Thai-ish Salad Dressing Recipe Toss all the below into a blender: Coconut Aminos Organic fresh lemon or lime juice Organic Rice Vinegar Fresh Organic Ginger Pink Salt The dressing is great on fruit or veggie salads mixed with your favorite lettuce, finely sliced red onion, cilantro, chopped almonds... If you want to add a healthy oil, Nutiva Coconut Oil would be a nice addition. Enjoy!

I've been using this in place of Soy Sauce in recipes and find the flavour to be perfect.

I love this stuff. It is so delicious, I put it on everything...it is even good as a salad dressing all by itsself. It is sort of like soy sauce but has a unique flavour all on its own. Slightly sweet and salty and very savoury. I just love it. Omnomnom.

I am soo dissappointed that iherb stopped carrying this product. It is wonderful for those of us who cannot have soy. It is great drizzled on just about anything. It is a live probiotic product, like raw vinegar.....yippeee you carry it again. Good stuff, just remember it is a raw product so I refrigerate after opening.

As I try to avoid carbohydrates this is a perfect compromise for stir-friday and the occasional bit of sushi.

I use this primarily in stewps (concentrated veggie soups) as a flavor and salt additive. It's not as salty as soy and has an interesting flavor.

Wouldn't use it to replace soy sauce in cooking, a great replacement for sweet soy. I like to use it with some garlic as a dipping sauce.

at first you have to get used to the sweet taste of this sauce instead of the salt, but then it's a good alternative to soy sauce for sushis/makis.
