CoQ10 for dogs

Posted by iHerb Customer on Oct 28, 2012 | Verified Purchase

Our three older dogs -- two Silkies 13yrs & 1 Sheltie 12yrs -- have really 'perked' up after starting this product. Their vet commented that their yearly physical was better than the year before. Just an overall improvement in energy which is what CoQ10 aids in ATP -- energy at the cell level.

Ubiquinol for congestive heart failure

Posted by LILYXXX on May 23, 2015 | Verified Purchase

Have 13 year old cat with enlarged heart and fluid build up in lungs ( congestive heart failure) as diagnosed by xray. Vet prescribed diuretics and suggested putting cat on ace inhibitors. I preferred to find a more natural alternative and did my research and found mercolas ubiquinol. ( cat is on the diuretics to get rid of fluid in lungs though) I started giving ubiquinol 50 mg= 5 pumps a day ( 2 pumps in morning, 1 at dinner time and 2 pumps before bed in late evening) The turn around in the cat was amazing , vet was very impressed , the heart rate went down from 180 to 100! Had noted the cat was very cold all the time before starting on the ubiquinol, now she is warm again. I cannot stress how wonderful this has been, a real life saver. Cat was a bit fussy with food and I had to be sure she got the ubiquinol , so I started, pumping it into the palm of my hand, she now just licks it off my hand and gets all excited when she sees the bottle! holisticanimalmedicines do a heart trio , which I have also started her on.

Awesome product!!!

I LOVE this product. When buying pet products, you have to be careful because a lot of them are not regulated (like human-grade supplements are). Dr. Mercola Healthy Pets supplements, including their Ubiquinol, are tested and produced according to strict standards, which I love. I love how it's in a no-fuss bottle and that they provide the active form of CoQ10 (Ubiquinol) along with medium-chain triglycerides (from coconut oil) for better absorption. My dogs thrive on this product, and I wouldn't choose anything else for them.

Helped My Cat!

Posted by HealthandBeautyGirl on Jun 04, 2017 | Verified Purchase

My cat didn't seem to be feeling 100%. I am a big believer in some supplements and I never go without Q10 myself. I decided to get him Mercola's Q10 for pets as well as the Astaxanthin. My cat licks the Q10 right off the top of his wet food. After the fist dose he ran around the house with a big burst of energy, so I know it was working. My cats health began to turn around and he got better and better each day. Unfortunately, he will not touch the Astaxanthin no matter what food I put it in. But, I'm thankful that he loves this Q10 and that it's benefiting him so much. The pump is a little touchy as another reviewer has mentioned and sometimes gives a nice pump, sometimes a 1/2 squirt, and sometimes nothing but it's not a big deal to me, I just pump it again until I get a full pump. I give my cat one pump 2 x a day. The bottle didn't last as long as I had expected, so I did a little calculating. This bottle lasted for 13 weeks with 2 pumps a day. If my calculations are right we got 182 servings vs the 317 that it claims. Regardless of that, this product is worth every penny! I think it's good to start Q10 for overall health and prevention, before problems arise. These are my opinions only. I am not a Vet or Dr. and I am just sharing my experience in hopes that it helps others. Please visit my page for more info and reviews!

Keeps my elderly pug going!

Posted by iHerb Customer on Oct 11, 2013 | Verified Purchase

My thirteen-year-old pug has an enlarged heart and congestive heart failure. I've noticed no deterioration, at least, in the six months since she's been taking this. I take ubiquinol myself!

Dislike the Pump

Posted by iHerb Customer on May 30, 2016 | Verified Purchase

After using only a few times, the oil can't be pumped out and I need to use a toothpick to scoop out. I don't even know if I am feeding the right amount. Useless to create airless pump when can't even pump anything out!

Dr. Mercola Ubiquinol for Pets

Posted by iHerb Customer on Mar 18, 2017 | Verified Purchase

Wanted to like this. I have a pup with heart disease. The idea of no flavor and exact dose with pump was a deciding factor. The pump is HORRIBLE. Has not worked correctly since first time. Gives out full pumps, half dribbles or squirts..I have tried everything to dispense equal doses. For the price, you would think the company could come up with a competent delivery system.

Excellent for Pets

Posted by iHerb Customer on Oct 29, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This easy to use product is excellent for Pets to help keep their systems clear of toxins. I use Ubiquinol capsules myself so it is logical that I would give my Pets a similar product to help keep their health at an optimum level.
