What an Outstanding owner and family run company !! It is recommended in video by a health practitioner I am familiar with and like very much. I was interested in taking and trying some high quality Barberry root that would be quick and easy to take; plus be highly absorbable. I wanted it primarily because it contains natural berberine that comes so highly recommended for blood sugar control and general health. This herb is great, especially for this colder season, for the immune system, the liver and gall bladder, the skin, the sinuses, and the heart. I have read several good articles about the value of Barberry Root. Dr. Axe has a very good article on it. This is a bitter herb and why it is so very good for the gall bladder and its function.
I will say the taste of this is very strong. It is not high in alcohol content, but I am not sure if the taste is from the lower alcohol content, or the herb itself. Maybe both. One dropper of it is almost more than I can handle each morning. I put it under my tongue to absorb it direct into my blood stream as much as is possible. I learned to take it the first taste in my mouth for the day, as I can then cover it with other tinctures that taste sweeter. I have more will power early in the morning as well, and it puts it in my body right off the start for my day and meals ahead of me. I am only taking one dropper of it daily, as that is plenty for my size. I just want to get some of this in me daily because of all of its great benefits for the body.
