Why did I make this purchase? I decided on this purchase both because of my successful experiences with Julep's eyeshadow sticks and based on my attraction to the beautiful color of "Bisou", a medium dusty rose in a cool-to-neutral tone. It suits me well and is the type of shade I wear often.
What was I hoping for in this product? What I was looking for in this item was a wearable (see above) color that would not drift outside my lip line or need frequent touch-ups.
What was my experience? I have found this lip mousse a pleasure to use. It is a wonderful color for me, lasts through sips of coffee, and does not leave that tell-tale ring of product drifting away outside the application area. It seems to stay in place under a mask, although I suspect one's mileage may vary on this based on how one's mask contacts one's face. For best results, apply to a bare lip surface so that adhesion of the product is maximized. It does, as the name indicates, dry to a matte finish, so be aware of that if you do not care for such a finish. Also, the application wand has a corset-like contour, so anticipate adjusting how you draw your perimeter. (This is not an issue after you get accustomed to it.) The packaging is beautiful on both the box and the tube, and the tube clicks to a nicely secure close.
Would I recommend this product to someone else? Absolutely.
Will I purchase this product again? Yes, provided that it remains available (and that I can work through a bit more of my lip product inventory). I have no regrets around this purchase.
