These bowls are very firm however, they are a bit small. If you're looking to reduce the amount of food you take in per meal these are an excellent choice. I used them to cook black beans in the microwave and the bowl still held up nicely.

guilt-free disposable bowls

I wish they made some of these bowls in a larger size, you can't quite fit a whole 15 oz or so can of food into it without it being mounded/overflowing. But the size is perfect for an oatmeal packet or other small portion. The bowls work fine, although if the food gets very hot, steam will come through the bottom of the bowl so that it will be warm and wet underneath, although I don't think there is any danger of the bowl actually leaking. Because the bowl is simply just fibers and not plastic coated to make it waterproof, this is why that happens. But just keep a napkin under it and handle it carefully and it is fine. The texture is like thick paper; that is what it is, basically. overall I will keep getting these for work, so I don't have to wash dishes at work and also won't have to feel bad about using once and throwing away the usual non-eco friendly plastic or plastic-coated bowls.
