Great for hummus and for cream!

This is a very special product to me. I love the flavor and the texture, and I think there is no substitute for it! I use it to cook a pumpkin hummus: Boil the 2 pounds of pumpkin pieces in water for 10-15 minutes, until fork tender. Drain well and transfer to a blender with the ½ cup of tahini, garlic, 1/3 cup lemon juice, salt, cumin, 1 teaspoon paprika, and ground black pepper to taste. Pulse several times to make an homogenous paste. Taste and adjust seasoning, probably adding more lemon as both pumpkin and tahini are quite sweet. (the recipe is taken form Aglaia Kremezi’s site). I also mix it with raw cocoa and a dash of liquor to make a cream for the chocolate cake.

Smooth, rich, creamy, easy to stir, and good from the top to the bottom. I have tried many tahinis, including imported ones, as well as both organic and non-organic. This is the best one of any type. This will be the only tahini I ever buy again.

It is a bit watery comparing to others but for the price, i cannot complain. It is also stored in a glass container (vs. plastic). The taste is good and i will order more.

This tahini is pretty average. Its a little hard to mix and ever so slightly bitter. This one was ok, but I will try another brand next time to compare.
