I bought this to add to aftershave lotion and also to use as a healing, safe alternative for brushing my pets' teeth with. I wish this aloe vera formula didn't contain sodium benzoate, which has recently been shown to be an unsafe preservative (mostly found in soda drinks). The quantity of preservative is probably miniscule to do any harm so I'll continue to use it topically (greatly diluted) but I will probably not brush my pets' teeth with it. I hope NOW Foods removes this ingredient from the formula in the future.

I can't believe a lot of the reviews say this stuff is "pleasant tasting". It's absolutely horrible!! I can't even begin to describe the taste--it's just really, really bad. That said, I do believe it helps to settle my stomach. I took it by itself with no other supplements and my stomach felt a little better.
