I didn't really notice a difference with this product. However I prefer the Sovereign Silver which seems to make me feel better.

I wish it has a larger size (thus only 3 stars).8 fl. oz is too little for this item has many uses in the household disinfecting department. Update 10/6/13 - I tested this and compared it with a batch of freshly made CS using Silverwell (aka silverpuppy). I tested its ability to kill E.coli that was used in my lab (non pathogenic). Using abt similar volume of this and freshly made CS, after 24hr incubation on nutrient agar, the freshly made CS showed it is more potent (no colony growth), but this silversol has very tiny colonies forming. I think most silver solutions , has lesser amount of silver ions over time..but the silver particles in the CS solution might not be affected..in the most recent study comparing silver ions/particles, it is concluded that silver ions is the component that gives antimicrobial activity. Although other websites claimed that silver particles also have antimicrobial activity [internally] via a different mechanism. I also noted that the potency of home made CS also degrades over time, so this seems to suggest that silver ions gradually precipitate into silver particles, and this might explain the reduced potency. My conclusion that silversol did not give better potency/stability cf to normal CS made using 'branded' unit
