I have been using Viviscal for about 3+ weeks. My hair has been falling out quite a lot. I usually dry my hair while sitting on edge of tub. There was always a lot of hair to clean out of tub afterward. Today I washed and dried my hair and there were only two!!! hairs in the tub and almost no hair in my hairbrush. This, in itself, is a miracle. I've also noticed that the texture of my hair ir better and it does seem to be growing a bit faster.

I had really high hopes for Viviscal, most likely because I always see it in magazines and hear about it in online hair care groups. I have taken this religiously for 3 months, and have not noticed a difference in my hair, skin or nails :( I'm in the process of growing my hair longer and so far hair formulas with high biotin levels and fo-ti root have worked best for me. Regardless of what you may read or hear, this will NOT make you grow hair anywhere else LOL. Viscal is also not cheap, but iherb definitely offers the best price you will find.

I would like to document my experience with Viviscal so that others may make a more informed decision about using the product. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this product and am excited to begin taking it. It has been about 3 weeks now and I noticed a difference in the texture of my hair. I have a mixed background (west indian/caucasion) and have curly but fine hair. I am also a fashion model and my hair takes quite a beating on a day-to-day basis with styling tools like flat irons, blow dryers and tons of hair spray. My hair was very dry, brittle and breaking off like you wouldn't beleive. After only 3 weeks of taking Viviscal the amount of shedding I've experienced in my comb has reduced by about 60% I'd estimate. I have also noticed that my scalp is producing more oils as my hair feels oily 2-3 days after washing. This is a good thing as its the oils which travel down the hair shaft to coat and protect the hair. From time to time I feel a tingling sensation on the scalp as well. Something must be happening up there! I will measure growth at the end of one month and hopefully be permitted to write another review. Viviscal suggests taking the product for no shorter than 6 months, so it is early yet. I am hoping for quite a bit of growth and repair by the summer (it is Feb 8 now). I'm giving it a 4 star rating for the time being as my hair has become more manageable, less is falling out and it seems better conditioned. I reserve the 5 star rating for growth which I won't be able to properly judge for another month or so. So far so good I'd say :)

I have been using the product just for a couple of weeks and I haven't seen any results yet. However, I haven't experienced any negative or unpleasant effects. I guess I have to give it more time :) I hope my hair grows back. My hair loss is really noticeable, specially at the top of my head.
