Salmon is one of good sources of omega-3s. Omega-3s, and particularly EPA and DHA, reduce the risk of dying from Cardiovascular Disease and other diseases. In our modern world the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 has changed to about 20 to 1. All evidence concurs that we evolved on a diet with a much lower ratio of omega-6 to omega-3s. In other words, we eat too little of the 3 variety and too much of the 6 variety.

If you love FREE samples, you can get one here: http://goo.gl/fa0nD . Your prime objective for consuming Omega 3 should be to get DHA into your body. The scientific evidence supporting the benefits of DHA is now overwhelming. It is much more important than EPA which is the major Omega 3 component of most fish oils. The explanation as to why DHA is the most important substance, is somewhat technical and not possible to explain here. However, if you would like to read a straightforward scientific paper on it, I would suggest that you review a paper by Lloyd A. Horrocks and Young K. Yeo. Compared with regular fish oil, calamari oil (Product: JRW-16018) delivers an unheard of 85% more DHA omega-3s to your heart, brain, joints, and eyes! You can get more than 8X the benefits of a fish oil without the burps and after taste. With This SUPER-OMEGA, you can say goodbye to (1) Fatigue, (2) Heart trouble, (3) Poor memory, (4) Vision Problems, (5) Dry or itchy skin, (6) Joint pain, (7) Lack of endurance, (8) Poor circulation, (9) Mood swings or depression. A study of the effect of DHA supplement on aggressive and impulsive behaviors showed that DHA had a positive effect. The study group included 200 young men, with an average age of 20 years. They were given 672 mg of DHA per day for 12 weeks. Test subjects were administered several tests before and after the supplementation period that actively measure aggressive and impulsive responses. These tests were primarily games that evaluated the ability to suppress impulsive reactions or measure impatience or the degree of aggressive responses to a stressful animation. Results of the study showed significant improvement in scores after the DHA supplementation period. "I got the idea after hearing Dr. Andrew Weil on the radio, who said that 1 gram (1000 mg) of DHA can be extremely helpful for people with anxiety and depression. It is obvious to me that he was lacking in this critical nutrient (DHA) that he needed, and that the lack of it was responsible for his behavior. Thank-you very much for making a wonderful product, for your continued efforts to make your products the best, and for giving me my husband back." -- Anonymous in New York

Finally a source of mercury free fish oil. This has no fish taste whatsoever and I haven't burped up any fishy taste either.
