The package comes in a spray bottle. The size is kinda big so it will last a long time. As for the scent, it's neither pleasant or unpleasant. When I used it I didn't notice much root uplifting. It just made my hair less limp. I will say that it did leave my scalp a little sticky initially but after blow drying the stickiness disappeared.

im not sure how, but it works. I sprayed it on my roots while hair is wet and dried it as i would normally do - with my head down. I have long fine hair so i usually dont have any root volume at all, but with this spray it held up for a few days. The only problem i had with it is that the packaging broke after couple of uses and now i need to transfer it to another spray bottle.

I've been using Giovanni's mousse for about 9 months now and like it but was looking for something to give me a little more oomph and this does just that. For reference, my hair is long-ish (a few inches past my shoulders) and layered. I typically wash my hair at night and would wake up to pretty flat hair. I spray this around my crown, lifting in sections, then flip my head over and spray a couple times at the roots at the nape of my neck. Let it air dry a bit then head to bed. Now I wake up with nice volume and subtle waves. It's not sticky at all and the scent is virtually non-existent. I would buy this again and would recommend it to others.

Great for lifting the crown

I am a hairdresser and love this product for volume and lift, especially in the crown area. It works best on thin hair, but does well on all hair types. Best results are on dry hair. Apply and then use the blowdryer to stiffen. I like it because it doesn't have any known toxins, so that I can use it confidently knowing that it won't affect anyone's health.

I love Giovanni with all my heart. BUT It could be good for very thick hair I believe. I have thin curly hair and do not usually use a hair dryer. And the spray works with heating only. You spray all over the bathroom when push harder or put too much for hair otherwise. Usually I wash my hair every 2 days but using the product I have to wash it in the end of the day.
