The smell is very subjective, but I am not impressed with it at all. But is was for my 10 y.o. girl and she loves it. However, the packaging makes it almost impossible to use although I keep trying as I am not a fan of tossing usable things. It is a struggle every time and although I appreciate the idea of less plastic, it is not a way to do it. Perhaps someone should look into reusable plastic tubes with refills.
