This stuff is definitely my favourite healthy drink in the world, when added to boiling water. Taste is great and health benefits are obvious. The quality of the product seems high, even though I haven't tried other similar products to make a proper comparison. Careful not to drink this every day, tho...
This is a massive bag when you realize how little you need for actual tea :) Good to split with friends or family! I keep the bulk of this in the freezer, in a ziploc to keep it fresher, and keep a small amount in my cupboard in a mason with my other tea leaves. I've started making my own tea, with a ball to cut down on cost and waste from the teabags as we cannot compost anything due to bears! Licorice root is great for gas, GI or stomach upset and when combined with mint, tastes even better. The quality was great and I will probably use more in the winter as it makes a great warming tea, but I've made a sun tea with it too and cooled and drank it that way too which was equally good. Educate yourself on the healing power teas and be less reliant on pharma. Nature holds the key :)

It is my first time using this as a tea added ingredient and it makes the tea sweet. I’m hesitant to use always because of the packaging warning regarding frequency of use. Overall, I’m happy with the quality. I hope there’s a smaller size to this. Tastes good when blended with peppermint tea leaves
First off, this licorice does not taste like "licorice" which is really an anise flavor. Licorice is known for being an antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral compound. It's great for calming the stomach too. It is sweet. I boiled some licorice along with frontier co-op chai tea. I poured it over vanilla almond milk with stevia. I really enjoy that combination! You do have to boil it awhile to release all of the flavor. I love this brand as they do not irradiate their packaged foods.

This item was purchased along with a number of ingredients as my first attempt at homemade root beer. IMO, it was a huge success! I didn't even no licorice was a root until I needed it. It matched the description, but didn't have much of a smell - I am not versed enough to know what it should smell like, and I didn't expect it to smell like straight up candy anyway. If it is supposed to have a strong scent, perhaps take this review with more of a grain of salt, but the rest of my order from Frontier was fantastic! This was also my first time ordering from iHerb - they processed/shipped my order super quickly and everything arrived as described/expected. I will definitely be using iHerb again!
Absolutely love the smell and taste of it you can tell it’s a quality product . I use it for digestion and respiratory issues .I make tea with it and blend it with other herbs to add to the benefits . The packaging was ok I Agree it should be a zip lock bag for convenience.
Quality is excellent. Taste is good. Use of this has great benefit to health. You may create tea blends with this. Has no caffeine. You may serve this to your guests with black or green tea and add little honey. The package size is excellent to the price. The ingredients quality is good
very good price for such a large amount, last for ages as you only need a small amount, I use to make tea, it tastes very nice like mild licorice, I only took for a small amount of time as apparently it can raise blood pressure, so I don't drink every day, it's supposed to help with adrenal burnout and it does seem calming
