This is my second purchase of Sun Coco La Tourangelle brand oil. I love that it is organic and reasonably priced. I also like the combination of sunflower and coconut oil. This manufacturer is located in California and is a family business originating in France. I love the label design and the oil can design. All of La Tourangelle Oils are top quality. They are priced well for the quality and unique variety they offer.
I would not recommend this for cooking - there are better oils for that, I believe. But for baking, this is a nice option next to the fragrant virgin coconut oil. I would not try this for frying but it would work in a pinch. This is odorless so it worked great for my baked goods like cakes/breads. I would not say this is like a healthy oil that you should consume, but if you want a light oil that is not an unhealthy or "artificial" option, this is a nice oil to invest in. I wanted a better option than light olive oil and consider this as a more expensive, better option especially when I can buy this on sale on iHerb.
This is a very good value cooking oil and because of the brand La Tourangelle, I gave it a try. The oil is very versatile and no smell of coconut that affects the food flavour. It can be used for any type of heat level and good for deep fry too. However, I won’t buy it again because seed oil is not good to health which can cause inflammation. I have switched my cooking oil to avocado instead as it’s healthier for my family.
