My family has a history of cholesterol problems even when eating healthy and working out! I was even at 7% body fat, had minimal saturated body fat in my diet, and working out 6 days a week and still was in the high range. I work in the healthcare industry and learned about niacin and the effects it has on the bad cholesterol and good cholesterol. I decided to give this a spin and have been on it for several weeks. I tapered my dose to minimize the flushing effects from niacin (i.e I split the pill and only took 250 mg initially). I can say I've had minimal events where I had flushed skin and I believe it is because I took this approach. I would recommend to not blindly take this medication - work with your healthcare provider to achieve your health goals and collaboratively determine if niacin is right for you.
My go to Niacin. Most of B3 in supplements nowadays are the time released variant which doesn’t give you the flush. I do it for the flush however, so it is harder to find the right form. This one from now is very affordable and works great. Will always repurchase has great benefits. Please like my review 😇
Very finely milled and powdery, absorbs and works quickly with very warm water. You do get a flush with this formula but I've built up my tolerance so I only get a mild flush and it goes away quickly for me. I feel more relaxed. I also get a very runny nose after using. Really good formula. I like to open the capsules and pour in my mouth or very warm water to work faster. It reminds me of sherbet? Tangy sour taste. Great product.
I was totally satisfied with the quality of Now Niacin. It gave me a lot of energy - I cycle to and from work 20km 4 or 5 days a week. I have to be careful to actually eat enough calories as it does seem to speed up my metabolism. I've never lost so much weight in my life since I started the Niacin protocol.

First time trying niacin and always nervous about the flush. I took one capsule and found the experience very tolerable. I was expecting something unbearable that would make me want to scratch my skin off but the itchiness was within pretty normal levels. I will keep taking this. Good for the heart. The only niacin (flush) that’s worth taking.
Very high quality and good packaging with noticed effect and trusted ingredients as usual from NOW. Really it gives me a good energy even I have a lot of stuff to do daily but I feel that I'm OK with this Niacin from NOW more than another company's product which I used before with the same concentration of 500 mg per capsule.
Niacin is thought to be helpful with cholesterol and skin issues, so for me, it was worth adding to my regimen. My last LDL numbers were lower than they were previously, which may be attributed to the niacin (along with a healthy diet and exercise, of course). Also, my melasma has faded considerably. It seems the niacin may have played a part in this, as well as my skincare routine. It does cause a flushing sensation, but I do not find it to be unbearable at all. It's similar to the tingling sensation you may feel after a mild sunburn. It also makes my skin a bit red/blotchy. This effect only lasts about 10 minutes or so, and it's actually rather refreshing. I know that sounds weird, but it has almost a "revitalizing" effect for me. Of course, it's always best to talk to your doctor about your dosage and any possible side effects that go beyond just the minimal flush. I always turn to NOW brand whenever possible, because their products seem to be of good quality and they don't typically include a lot of "filler" ingredients. Highly recommended!
The NOW brand Niacin is very effective for me in controlling cholesterol levels. One tablet in the morning with breakfast and one at night before bed and my cholesterols are maintained to acceptable levels with no observable effects on my liver enzymes or functionality. So much better than statin drugs!
I have been taking this flush version of Niacin for two years. I lost over 50 pounds since it sped up my metabolism. I have become used to the flush. It doesn’t bother me anymore. I like the benefits of this Niacin. It seems like a good quality Niacin that is easy to take.
