I've gotten this pillowcase to try out a satin one and if it has any effects on protecting my hair. I must say the difference compared to cotton pillowcases is rather discernible, my hair gets less messed up while I sleep. I had been using one for two months and then I got a second one. I'm glad I didn't buy a more expensive one, because this one is good enough.
